Suppose \(\sigma \) and \(\tau \) are two elements of \(A_5\) such that, for every finite dimensional complex representation \(\rho \) of \(S_5\), \(\chi _\rho (\sigma )=\chi _\rho (\tau )\) (here \(\chi _\rho \) denotes the character of \(\rho \)).
